HYCONSFrom $1April, 2012Quadrotor update: The video below was presented at the 25th IEEE Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE 2012) by Camilo. February, 2012 Autopilot Visualizer Project using Google Earth: The designed longitudinal autopilot for B737 is visualized by connecting the developed MATLAB Simulink's model to Google Earth. The inputs to the model are the flight path angle (FPA) and the velocity (V). Gust generator is also considered in this project to demonstrate the robustness of the designed controller. The aircraft is flying over Montreal. Controller design: Sina Kaynama; Visualizer design: KyungJae Baik; Visualizer-controller integration: Behzad Samadi January, 2012 Update on Gavin's Active Telescoping vehicle in the form of a second, more simplified, version. Initial testing shows successful rollover mitigation with the simpler, more robust design. December, 2011Active flutter suppression using PD, backstepping, and SOS controllers. March, 2011Update on Gavin's telescoping suspension vehicle: The demonstration below shows how the vehicle's width increases proportionally to the wheel's velocity. In the future, the expansion will be proportional to centrifugal acceleration. February, 2011 Read Gavin's interview with Next Montreal. Gavin is a speaker at TEDx Concordia, where he talks about his 3D printer project. September, 2010 Gavin's interview with Concordia Journal:

It is very nice to have this web site. I hope we can use it to discuss about our common interests, mainly control theory.
The HYCONS lab is a great place to learn and put in practice engineering concepts and ideas.

Thanks.
Let's see what this website turns out to be. Yes, I do think it has a huge potential.
Happy that HYCONS has a nice communication tool.
See you soon,
Behzad
P.S. I am going to prepare a course on mobile robotics for undergrad students. I appreciate if you can introduce me some references. I found this course at EPFL: http://moodle.epfl.ch/course/view.php?id=261
I added the logo I'm working on in the pictures section. Feel free to leave your feedback. It's just the first draft, it's gonna change a lot.

Good to see your initiative to create this website for us, Kyungjae. Thanks a lot !!
Also good to catch up with old friends like Giancarlo and Behzad.
Can we also create a linkdyn group, facebook group myspace group, plaxo group, yahoo group or any other group where we can circulate information about job opportunities for the graduates from our lab ?
I think this would be a good idea.
Thanks and keep up the good work !
Luis
